Call in Sick Service.

Call In Sick Service provides clients with a cast-iron sickness alibis. We would call a place of your work for you and pretend to be your doctor /dentist or a spouse, etc. and tell your boss that you can’t come in. So you will not have to fake it on the phone! This is even useful for our clients who are self-employed – freelancers, business owners, etc.

So people would rather go through all that trouble than tell the truth?

6. I fully support the call in sick service....
No fuckin' company owns me. They have no right to make any demands on my time off. I don't need to explain myself.

The way it's *said* to work is that I sell you my labor, not my life.

If I'm not there on a given day, I don't agree that it is any of your damned business.

8. If I'm too sick to go to work..
Ninety plus percent of the time I either have a fever/chills/coughing or I'm puking my guts out from an ailment I've had all my life.

In either case, the doctor is going to tell me to go home and get rest/drink fluids, etc.

I'm supposed to drag my ill butt to the doctor only to get an excuse to present to my boss?

Work is not grammar school and workers are almost all adults.

As for the other service, I don't see it as nearly as despicable as companies which knowingly sell products that are going to kill and injure innocent people.

9. I'm more worried about the companies...
that need a call from a doctor, dentist, or spouse (wtf?) in order to give you sick leave.

10. Except that now all us wives (and some husbands)
know the name of the company if our spouse brings home this crapola.

BUSTED.

13. It can be, yes...
I have a friend who works for a major charity/company. The initials are "ACS"...<g> She had to take ONE day off recently, to be with her DYING dad. The company she works for told her she would either have to take it as an unexcused absence OR she would have to get a note from her dying dad's doctor. That is beyond WRONG. She could have used a company like this.
She took it as an unexcused absence. You are only allowed two in a year.

16. My boss was forced
to bring in the obituary of her dead baby in order to get funeral leave. It was disgusting and demeaning. They wouldn't allow her to use vacation time or sick time - both of which she has plenty.

I thought you liked me. I would use them on an employer in a New York Minute...if I needed to. I prefer the Vitamin B6 route. If you take just a little too much, it causes you to flush all over...big red splotches. You look quite ill and most employers want you to definitely go home ill.... You have to be quick. The flushing effect only lasts for about 20 minutes.

Did you read my post right above, about the dying dad or the one right under Bloo's, about the dead baby? Some companies can be quite unconscionable in their behavior.

19. I Know It Sounded Harsh But ...
I can't imagine remaining in the employ of a company that I would need to use an Excuse Factory for, you know? Even if I didn't walk outright, I'd plainly be so miserable that I'd be the first victim to budget cuts.

... There's no real disagreement, I bet. You both agree that both types of users are likely to exist.

I am glad that there is someone to support them.

When in doubt I always back the worker over the corporation.
