He names the editorial pages of several newspapers (Chicago Tribune, KC Star, etc...) names the papers not specific examples - so FUCKING typical!

10. I think Novak has this one right.
The OED defines an icon as "a sign that has characteristics in common with the thing it signified". In the future, Bush will be an icon of all of the wrong things in politics, an icon of failure of public service. Until a few years ago, that icon was Richard Nixon. Before him, it was Warren Harding; before him, Ulysses Grant or James Buchanan. But George W. Bush has achieved his legacy, his icon status, as a symbol of the worst in American politics and public life.
