John Stossel speaks at pro-voucher rally in Austin TX (ick)
http://www.kxan.com/Global/story.asp?S=6054027&nav=0s3d

"Right now, Texas spends about $10,000 per student," said John Stossel, co-host of 20/20. "Do the math. That's more than $200,000 dollars per class."

Stossel showed up at the rally, vouching for vouchers. He says he's studied America's public schools, and they're not doing the job.

"Think what you could do with that money," Stossel said. "Where does the money go? Nobody knows in government monopoly."

What a jerk. He needs to be protesting the corporatocracy, if he's so worried about "monopolies," not bashing our public schools.

1. Bet if you asked him about the 8+ billion dollars that disappeared during the CPA in Iraq
He'd tell you that was unimportant and that you were emboldening terrorists.

2. "Do the math", Stossel.
At least where I grew up, students attend more than one class. So it's not "more than $200,000 per class", moran.

Oh yeah, you can pick up your objectivity at the impound lot. Just bring ID and a $500 fine. Per class. :P

3. Stossel is clueless, but unfortunately, the people that believe what
he says are even more clueless. Public Schools, because of their size, have better resources and a more diverse curriculm. Just look at the courses available for high schoolers today. And magnet programs in the public school sector are great preparation for college.

4. Figures lie, and liars figure. That would be Stossel.
Another contention that is either a lie, or taken so out of context as to cherry-pick the conclusion they want to promote.

Stossel is just another "government can't do the job" idiot. Show me your "research".
