10. What I noticed ...

... when the MSM was reporting on FISA's passage over the weekend, they all put it in terms of "allowing expanded surveillance on terrorist suspects" which makes it seem benign to Joe and Jane Sixpack - they all glibly left out this little detail: Blivet and crew get to define "terrorist suspect" to fit their whims, leaving any and all of us open to "expanded surveillance" at any time.

Combined with the freezing of assets and the seizure of property, this ain't no joke. :scared:

11. And then there's the underlying racism.

Many white and-or xtian people think it's ok to give up their basic
rights to privacy, legal counsel, warranted search and seizure,
and habeas corpus because they think that this will only apply
to non-xtian or dark-skinned people, whose lives aren't worth
much anyway.

That's one reason why Iraq is tolerated, and why people have
been allowing Bush and his admin to get away with treason
and war crimes.. because it's mostly "them" that's gettin got..
not "us," and the usn's that are got can be glorified and put
in the glowing halo of patriot and war hero. Sheesh.
