No sign of relief in S Asia floods


Fears are growing that an outbreak of disease will strike the millions of people displaced by south Asia's catastrophic floods as criticism of relief efforts continue to spread.

At least three million people have taken refuge in emergency camps.

However, in the past two weeks, some of the worst floods in living memory have affected at least 25 million people in the region, 10 million of them made homeless or left stranded.

Crops have been destroyed as rivers burst their banks.
