...Lots of cool things are supposed to happen @ 60. Happy b'day and here's hoping you're the recipient to them!

I'm not too far behind, I'm 52. The only thing I want for my 60th is to be thru menopause without morphing into a total hag and to still have some un-atrophied muscles left in my body so I can continue running and biking.

We wish for simpler presents as we get older!

As for Barak, Leos in general make pretty good pres's (Clinton is one) cuz they like the spotlight and are usually very generous of spirit. As fire signs, they have tempers, but are rarely malicious.

The big question, of course, is whether his extraordinary magic will last through the 2008 election and beyond. In a word, yes, it will. By May, transiting Uranus will move to oppose his natal Mars (22Virgo25) and the gloves will come off. Venus and its attendant charisma will still be strong (Venus/Node), but in addition we will see a formidable warrior. This aspect continues through March 2009 and is then quickly succeeded by converse progressed Mars conjunct converse progressed Uranus through mid 2011. These aspects suggest the strength and courage necessary to secure the nomination and then the presidency. At this point, I see no other candidate who comes close to this potent combination of aspects, unless Al Gore decides to run. Currently for Obama his Mercury resides in the constellation of Billy the Crab, which suggests the Obama will grow two pincers and use them to pinch his political opponents. Into the third week of August expect Obama to spend lots of times on the beach, perhaps under rocks in a shallow pool. Clinton's Mercury currently resides in the constellation of Simon the Bear, which makes one suspect that the NY Senator will go finishing in fast-moving streams and roar at humans who come too close. Kucinich's Mars is in the constellation of Jerry the Penguin which will likely lead the Ohio Congressman to jealously guard his future offspring encased within an egg. Expect Kucinich to peck violently if suddenly provoked.
