We have six months to pressure Democratic senators not to renew the wiretapping act
There were 16 Democrats who voted for this act. A dumb move.

However, all is not lost, as the act is up for renewal in six months. In the meantime, each of the 16 Democratic senators needs to have their feet held to the fire by the rank-and-file to NOT vote for renewal once the act comes up for renewal.

Since the bill passed with exactly 60 votes, all it takes is one Democratic senator to make the right decision. I suggest that people call those 16 and let them know how you feel (to get their office phone numbers and emails, Google their last name and the word 'senator') :

Lincoln (D)
Pryor (D)
Feinstein (D)
Salazar (D)
Carper (D)
Nelson (D)
Inouye (D)
Bayh (D)
Landrieu (D)
Mikulski (D)
Klobuchar (D)
McCaskill (D)
Nelson (D)
Conrad (D)
Casey (D)
Webb (D)

3. It would not have changed anything. The bill had 60 votes. That is all that mattered.

4. I certainly regret donating to McCaskill's campaign
What are these people thinking? What was the point of expanding Bush's wiretapping program when they know he's been using it against Americans?

5. Yes, and why would they be demanding it now
methinks it's about the 2008 election, thanks, Senators, you are just giving them more power for their "dirty campaigns." Paging
the swiftboat crew, report to duty immediately.
