It doesn't matter that Clinton, Obama, Biden voted no, i don't see any leadership in them when they cant get fellow democrats to vote no. They are just as responsible.

1. Change Minds, Change Votes
Until we deal with the constituents that these errant voters represent, nothing will ever change. Continuing to scream at people who are already on your side is not the solution.

3. you are right, however.
I don't want to read post about how his senator voted no and this senator voted yes. The bill past, just like the Iraq spending bill. And if Clinton and Obama spent more time in the senate, instead being on the road, getting other dems to vote no maybe the bill would not have passed. But no, that didn't happen, they didn't show leadership in any way. I just hope you don't sell out too.

8. Oh that is nonsense
The best thing they can do is go back to some of these states and tell the people there what just happened and how their Senators voted. There is nothing that can be done within the Senate on terrorism until people start looking at it differently. That happens out among the people, hearing something different than what they've been told by their elected official because their elected official is afraid to say something and scare the people into voting for someone else. It's a vicious cycle that will take influence from the outside to change.

4. Biden maybe, but Clinton and Obama are nobodies in the Senate. Nobodies!
They are shoe scuffs as far as their vaunted seniors are concerned. No one wants to hear about "leadership" from a first term senator or a senator barely in her second term.

I'm upset too, but good grief, they do not control that institution.

12. Yeah, because them making a speech in the middle of the night...
...on this surprise bullshit coming from the GOP will really get the medias attention o.O

I'll read the actual bill before I blow a gasket, but frankly, we've got a slim and shitty majority in the Senate. I don't expect too much from them. The House is another matter, at the moment, I have to count on them to blunt or stop GOP bullshit. Too damn bad what's happened to this country...
