Remember the shuttle astronaut that committed suicide last year

Charles Brady offed himself last year. I don't know how it compares to the general population but if anything i would say people in that profession who actually make it to the top (get a mission in space)are MORE likely to crack at some point.

That's the last I read, everybody was "stunned"

He was very active in the amateur radio community. I think I might have heard it from another ham. It could be complete balderdash, though; so in retrospect, take it with a grain of salt.

I doubt astronauts are all of a sudden going crazy, though. This latest episode is an unfortunate anomaly.
