Some of the e-mails that will eventually make it into the record survived because conscience-stricken Halliburton/KBR contractors came forward and approached Waxman's committee during the oversight blackout period (a.k.a., GOP majority).

Interesting E-Mails.
In the E-mails concerning Private contractors I keep seeing where couple of the senders keeps saying how the sitreps and other reports do not match reality on the ground there.I wonder who was sending the bad reports and why.
Also,who is the client they are refering too?

I've been really impressed with the parts of the hearings I've been able to watch. I'd never seen much of Waxman before, but I just get this feeling, although he seems so calm and softspoken, that this is one guy you don't want to mess with. The Blackwater Counsel seemed to get that feeling, too.

I could really do without the repuke apologizers, though...

I watched the repeat of the hearing last night.When the widow started reading her list of equipment they did not have I was fit to be tied.What moron sends people into a combat zone without the gear they need?
It also raised a few questions in my mind.
Did the goverment get billed for the equipment?Did the taxpayers pay for nonexistant armored vehicles?
