What is stopping us from having to fight them over here right now?
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 03:18 PM by Bandit
"If we don't fight them over there we will have to fight them over here" Why do they have to wait to invade us? Why aren't all them Iraqi women and children we are killing over here fighting us right now? I hear there is mass Exodus from Iraq occuring as we speak so our troops are not keeping them in Iraq. Why aren't they here in our cities fighting us right now? How are our troops in Iraq keeping them from fighting us over here?

1. With the National Guard
bogged down in Iraqnam, it's made us more vulnerable at home. What a great homeland security policy.

2. The effulgent splendiferousness of Commander Bush is keeping us safe
The bad guys are blinded by his wonderfulness and thus can't see where to attack us.

3. Nothing
See how easy that was? You're right, that whole argument has never held water. It's a fearmongering tactic put forth, mostly, by people who are so scared of a minimal threat that they desire the big, bad daddy gov't to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING, so they won't be so afraid.

Ridiculous, ain't it?

4. It's not a logical argument, that's for sure.
But if Republicans say it enough - over and over and over - a lot of people believe it cause they can't think for themselves.
