Henry "Bulldog" Waxman Webcasts Iraq War Profiteering Hearings - ON NOW
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 03:13 PM by Dems Will Win

Wow! Get out the popcorn everybody this has been good!

Had a chart showing several levels of profiteering through perhaps illegal subcontracting! Damn this is good.

These hearings will also take testimony from the widows and families of the 4 Blackwater contractors killed in Falluja.

http://oversight.house.gov/story.asp?ID=1165

Family members of four Blackwater employees killed in Fallujah will testify about what they view as profiteering by Blackwater USA, including the company’s alleged failure to provide armored vehicles and other critical safety equipment. The Committee will also examine the costs of Blackwater’s security operations to the taxpayer and the adequacy of federal oversight of Blackwater and other security contractors.

10. if you weren't following this until now and wanted to get up to speed
not subjective stuff like "better" also to interact better within our community here

there are a lot of background posts in them and one of them is by a person that has been directly and indirectly involved, and if I'm reading you wrong I apologize for referencing subjective stuff but one of the other threads has an extremely knowledgable member...

12. Waxman is upset that a GOP Rep. accused the hearing of being a Democrat Show Trial
What's clear is that Halliburton and ALL the subcontractors beneath them padded their bills enormously and when the Army was to supply security and then of course did not because of low troops, they were allowed to hire their own security and then the profiteering REALLY started.

IT all shows that the REpublican plan to contract out military services IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE AND MUST BE STOPPED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
