“We are there at the invitation of the Iraqi government. This is a sovereign nation. Twelve million people went to the polls to approve a constitution. It's their government's choice. If they were to say, leave, we would leave.”

This is what was reported in newspapers across America On July 15, 2007

BAGHDAD - Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki shrugged off U.S. doubts of his government's military and political progress on Saturday, saying Iraqi forces are capable and American troops can leave "any time they want."
One of his top aides, meanwhile, accused the United States of embarrassing the Iraqi government by violating human rights and treating his country like an "experiment in a U.S. lab."

If we had a media that did the job it was made for, this kind of bald-faced lie would be brought to the publics attention. But, unfortunately, this is just one little lie ina forrest of lies. K&R...
