This reminds me of the 80s...I'd constantly hear how great the economy was doing yet my paycheck kept shrinking compared to rising prices. When I bitched about that at one time, a boss said "well, it's just cause you haven't worked your way into "earning" the "good money". Yes, that was a repugnican talking...and what good money is vs. bad money I've never figured out (other than how he got that money).
If you've got millions, the markets are good, interest rates aren't bad and if can play the ponies...especially the European ones, you're seeing portfolios rise 10% or more a year. Add to this the tax cuts that has ruined this country's middle class, but the rich are taking their profits and laughing all the way to the bank.
The fun will be in 2010...that's when the tax breaks for the rich are supposed to end. Will they? Or will Democrats try to keep some or all of those breaks?
Or course the Democrats area always blamed when things go bad...isn't that Pavlovian for a Repugnican?
