13. Notice how it's always individuals that get busted?
When Corporations get caught doing this shit - they get "investigated" - slapped on the wrist, and then later on get rewarded another huge contract.

10. Somehow, since this whole war has been about positioning for
war profiteering, it just feels like treason is the right call.

7. Is this because of the Waxman hearings...
...or to take the heat off of them?

8. Tip of the iceberg,
I hope Waxman starts a slow boil and gets a few of the small timers to start singing....I really suspect this was a massive RNC laundering operation and lots of this money found its way back into the US elections in 2004. The whole CPA operation was a Republican controlled enterprise with most of the people being ideologically young Repubs who could be counted on to keep their mouths shut. The money got "disbursed" weeks before handing over the governing mess to the Iraqis...if they saw a few million of this money, I'd be surprised.

14. The problem is that these guys didn't incorporate! If the had formed a Corporation...
...and did this, they'd get rewarded with a large no bid contract.

17. Nope, not that money. Bit from article in OP,,,
A grand jury indicted three Army Reserve officers and two civilians Wednesday on charges they steered more than $8.6 million in Iraqi reconstruction funds to a contractor in exchange for kickbacks that included vehicles, jewelry and real estate
