We're speaking up and we're speaking out. People degrade us because we aren't out in the streets, but the corporate media has shown how easily they can ignore that. What they CAN'T ignore is the constant, nagging flea-bites of those of us out here in the digital universe who will not be silenced.
We won't be silenced on the war.
On torture.
On healthcare.
On impeachment.
On a fair wage and a social safety net.
On pollution and the environment.
On equal treatment under the law.
On High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
We won't shut up. We won't be shut up through derision and contempt. We are Americans, as, as Woody Guthrie reminded us, this is "Our Land." It doesn't belong to a cabal of corporate kingpins, nor the Bush administration, nor to the Republicans who either have enough, or hope beyond hope that someday they will.
We are not their meat. We are the citizens of the United States and we WILL NOT be silenced. Hate us, spit on us, even laugh at us, but you cannot continue to ignore us. We are the pioneers of a new kind of electorate, a new kind of political frontier, where what you do is INSTANTLY available for the people to see and discuss.
And we're simply getting stronger.
Your old media conglomerates? Your paid-for reporters? History. If they want to remain relevant, they have to wade into the "cesspool" and get themselves dirty with the rest of us. We are loud, obnoxious, and we use "bad language."
Fuck you if you don't like it.
This isn't a choose-your-own-adventure. This is real life. And we're out here fighting for our future and the future of our children and the future of our planet.
And we're getting better at waging this war with every passing day. You don't even understand the battlefield yet.
But you will.
