Another Libby revelation: Cheney doesn't like to share

<snip>

At one point, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald can be heard on the tapes expressing disbelief that Libby would take part in those meetings without disclosing that the president had effectively already declassified key portions of one of the main prewar pieces of intelligence on Iraq, a national intelligence estimate on the nation's alleged banned weapons programs.

"Was that unusual for you to have the national security adviser, the director of central intelligence, the White House chief of staff, among others, in the dark as to something that you had done regarding declassification?" Fitzgerald asked.

"It is not unusual for the vice president to tell me something which I am not allowed to share with others," Libby replied.

1. This quote really bugged me
And brought to mind how often Libby just simply does NOT answer the Fitz question! If I were Fitz, the next comment would have been: "That's nice, but my question was specifically with regards to keeping a secret about declassifying something -- now, I'll ask again: Was it common for Cheney to keep secrets from the national security advisor, the director of CIA, and the WH CoS about a matter that a few of you *knew* had already been declassified? Was declassification commonly a secret matter? Please answer *THAT* question. Oh, and if you respond in the affirmative, then I will ask for examples of when this has happened. Proceed."

3. This gives to the thinking on what all the incredible and incalculable.......
things that happened on 9/11 could of happened either way, planned or not. I keep on asking why partisan ship gets in the way of protecting ones country. The people who assisted in writing all nuances into it's original framework of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and rest of the state papers had mind that people like Uncle Dick would show up.

There should leave no doubt to what kind of things have been going on here and who has been doing a lot of it and setting policy to it. There should be no mistake who has been pulling many if not most of the strings and not having to answer for any of it.

Also make no mistake that most of the dyed in the wool operatives in the republican party are not ashamed of trying to protect any of these people. To them the republicans are in war against the rest of world and that is all there is.

4. Coming tomorrow: Water is wet.
Shocking. To think that one of the most corrupt individuals in one of the most corrupt administrations who used to work for one of the most corrupt corporations doesn't like to share.

Wow. I hear that Bush doesn't like to read, Rumsfeld doesn't like to plan ahead, and Ashcroft doesn't like salsa dancing. Shit.
