Jim Bunning sez money doesn't grow on trees for kid's health care
He may have been a good pitcher back in the day, but he's got his head up his Kentucky ass these days.

According to Bunning, New York and New Jersey shouldn't be able to assert that it costs more to live there and allow for families with higher income to qualify for SCHIP program matching funds.

In 2004, New York State received $1.04 for each federal tax dollar paid.
In 2004, Kentucky received $1.41 for each federal tax dollar paid.
These are the latest figures I could find. http://www.nemw.org/taxburd.htm

Since Senator Bunning says that New York and New Jersey pay more toward health care for children from their own tax revenues, I suggest he figure out how Kentucky can do the same in other areas.

1. But apparently money does grow on trees to fund invasions and occupations
Bunning has gone soft in the brain, and the humane thing would be to relieve him of his current duties.

Kentucky should get their money from themselves instead of stealing from New York.

3. I recall the beautiful
debate between President Bartlet (West Wing) and his gop rival (Governor of Florida) who was blathering on about federal spending. President Bartlett said your state gets X percent (don't recall the exact sum but it was quite high) from the Federal government and then asked, "can we have our money back?"
