3. Yes, that is an interesting bet. I'm in the "no" camp.
I would think Bush will issue an "executive privilege" statement covering Rove's porcine posterior sometime between now and the hearing OR

Rove's lawyer will do a Fred Fielding and offer up Rove on condition that it be behind closed doors, with a select group of senators present, no transcripts, and no notes allowed OR

... and this is a long, long shot, Rove will show up, but take the 5th.

4. Only if Leahy lassos Rove as Rove comes out of the White House...
and Leahy gallops his stallion to the Capitol Building with the end of his lariat tied to his pommel and Rove squirming and screaming as he's dragged along the pavement.

Ah, mental visions... :-)

And a reminder that this is on Thursday. Even though the odds are that kkkkkarl will be thumbing his nose at the Senate once again.

6. Oh I am
sure Rover is making plans as I type to be there, unfortunately he may experience a severe bout of "I don't recall" and it will prevent him from finding his way to the hearing room. Not to worry though, all the RePuke Senators will assure us that Rover did nothing wrong and the hearing is just another witch hunt and waste of time and the committee should really be investigating the Clinton Attorney firings.

8. He knows he won't be held accountable
Everyone else who has refused a Congressional subpoena knows there are no real consequences for it.
They must think its a "show" investigation. Hope they're wrong.
