But I thought Stephen Colbert's show wouldn't last when it first started.

I was wrong...I'm ashamed to have doubted the great Colbert.

Please forgive me.

NEW YORK — Stephen Colbert's legacy has been preserved in self-portraits, a Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor and an Ontario Hockey League mascot named Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle. Now, the satirist is getting a DVD.

Highlights from the first two years of "The Colbert Report" will be compiled for a single-disc DVD to be released Nov. 6, Comedy Central told The Associated Press. An official announcement of the DVD will be made Monday.

"The Best of 'The Colbert Report'" will include sketches from segments such as "The Word," "Better Know a District," "Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger" and "Threat Down." Celebrity interviews will also be featured.

"The Colbert Report," a spin-off of "The Daily Show," first aired in October 2005. It was recently nominated for four Emmy Awards, including variety, music or comedy series, and individual performance in a variety or music program.

9. I will go so far as to say I didn't like his show that much the first few times
And it wasn't that I didn't get the schtick, although I must admit to flipping the channel when he gives Freeper-types the ability to rail away (yes, I know what he is doing I just don't enjoy listeing to the busllshit I myself can recite from heart, like them, being exposed to it through repetition).

But I am with you in the fact that the show has obviously turned out very well, is funny and continually entertaining.
