Mods: Would like to propose adding a Pat Tillman avatar
Some images to consider:

I think I can speak for most DUers in that Pat Tillman was a true patriot and an outstanding human being. He turned down millions of dollars and fame to fight for his country, but at the same time did not let blind "patriotism" compromise his free thought or beliefs. For that he was cut down in the prime of his life by the same people, it appears, who used him as a marketing tool.

R.I.P, Mr. Tillman. Truth and Justice will prevail.

2. Is using the image of a dead soldier to advance a political ideal
really honoring that soldier?

As you say in your post, above...RIP, MR. Tillman.

3. I didn't mean to suggest using his image to "advance a political ideal"
but just to honor a true patriot.

I would never suggest to "use" his image. He's already been used enough by our own government.
