:woohoo:

Does the House Minority Have a Right to Be Heard?

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0107/2526.html

By: Tom DeLay

Snip-->

"One thing that is out of bounds, however, was the Democrat leadership abuse of the legislative process.
Along with the usual rules (those that Democrats said were abusive until they favored Democrats),
the new leadership rolled six bills into one rule, which served to cut off the normal process,
block hearings and input from the public and silence Republican colleagues by refusing to allow
them to offer or consider amendments.
That's not an abuse against Republicans, who would have been powerless to stop the rules
when they arrived in regular order anyway, but an abuse of the institution of the House.
When you have the votes and the rules in your favor, you're not supposed to cheat the system."

Have at him...all comments are welcome!!

1. of all people to lecture on
abuse of process. He belongs in the Gray Bar Hotel and License Plate Factory. And when he is incarcerated his nick name will go from Hammer to Hummer or Toss Salad Tom.

3. Shut the fuck up CRIMINAL!
He is one of the worst people I have ever come to know. His opinion is still as unrelavent as it has always been and as usual he opens his mouth and nothing come out. RETHUGLICANS need to be silenced, well maybe not silenced with gray tape as I would prefer, but knocked on their asses at least.

Cry all you want Hummer, your party is spent. once we get Chaney and the Dumbone for War Crimes what little remains of the Worthlessicans will be a faint and distent whisper. As for your Fundamentalist Nazi Xtian Extremist regime, I think I have sent enough emails about them to my officals I hope they take action on them as well, for wrongful intervention into the political process. Haage has no place being on the Hill....

Oh Yeah: FUCK OFF!

6. Crimeafuckin River...
Yep...that minority sure was heard that evening Nancy Pelosi screamed for the House to investigate Mark Foley and was gaveled "out of order". It wasn't until she all but shamed the Repugnican leadership that she got a vote to investigate Foley and then that investigation was stonewalled.

Those comments are beautiful...especially on a site that is being funded by right wing bucks (Albritton) to astroturf distortions and lies. DeLay should be right at home at "Politico".

7. My Space is owned by Murdoch
but there are many there with different opinions from the rethugs; including Murdoch.
I get the feeling though, that this newspaper is trying to include everybody's POV.

9. More Puffy "Punditry"
Here's a pretty straight up review of the operation:

My problem is the hires of Jim Van De Hei and Mike Allen...both Rove stovepipes and stenographers.

Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 08:59 AM by Breeze54
if all the journalists mentioned lean right or left though
but if I can go there and rag on Delay, that'll make me happy! ;)

Thanks for the additional background info and the link.

Edited to add:

I also like it that the readers can 'push' topics to be on the front page!
If enough of us do that....who knows what impact it may have. just a thought! ;)
