The way I heard it, snarlin Arlen basically called Chuck Schumer..
an attention whore.

More proof that old Arly is one of the worst, most corrupt Americans that ever lived.

2. All in all, I'd rather be an attention whore than a lying, traitorous

3. McCain got the weathervane moniker, but it really belongs to Specter.
In the a.m. he's chewing Gonzo a new one, in the p.m. he's chastizing the Dems. Someone must have given him quite a talking to on AF1. I'd love to know what that lil chat was about.

4. I think he told shrubby that he's getting dangerously close...
to the point where the Senate can no longer cover his ass.

8. I dunno; if that were true, why'd he change his tune? Sounds like he
was intimidated, or just his usual wishy-washy self.

12. On the other hand
Spector has come up with a very good suggestion, to examine the testimonies of Roberts and Alito to get Senate confirmations, and compare their decisions since getting on the SCOTUS with what they said under oath. Maybe now that BushCo is washed up, maybe Spector is jumping the sinking ship also.

13. I would almost place a bet that Specter won't examine anything, or
punish anyone.

5. I knew he was putting on a freakin' ACT for the C-SPAN cameras at the hearing.
It was all an act. He's just as bad as all the rest. A repuke is a repuke is a repuke. They're all alike. No integrity, They LIE with abandon, they cover-up crimes, they aid in those crimes and then try to paint the Democrats as the bad guys. They all SUCK. Every freakin' one of them. POWER is all they care about and The Constitution is a "G-d Damn Piece of Paper."

14. He must have had an attitude adjustment during his ride on Air Force One yesterday
Either the malfunctioning chip was replaced or they threatened him or his loved ones.

7. People have been using that term "attention whore" a lot recently.
Oddly enough, they're usually trying to draw attention to themselves.

9. Arlen Specter Was The Very First Senator To Mention Impeachment
In 2005, when the NY Times broke the warrantless wiretapping story.

He also asked Gonzales "Do you think constitutional government in the United States can survive if the president has the unilateral authority to reject congressional inquiries on grounds of executive privilege, and the president then acts to bar the Congress from getting the judicial determination as to whether that executive privilege is properly invoked?". Pretty rough stuff.

Specter is an odd duck, but I wouldn't lump him in with the rest of the Rethugs at all.
