Scams that need laws...?
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 12:38 AM by kentuck
First of all, is there a bigger scam than cracked windshields? Why are windshields made of thinner glass than the glass in the doors. When brand new Escalades are driven around with cracked windshields, something is amiss. I have concluded this is a scam. There needs to be a law passed.

Another scam is ink cartridges. There is no way in hell that a half ounce of ink in a little cartridge should cost $30 damn dollars. The makers of the printers are ripping people off. Period. Something should be done.

I'm sure there are many other scams that are being perpetrated on a naive public, but these two are the ones that I notice today...

1. How about Gillette's new razor?
The one with 5 blades.

I got one in the mail for free a couple of weeks ago. I liked it. Thought I'd buy some blades for it. They were $16! At Costco yet!

I'll stick to my old Sensor.

7. Makes you wonder what it will cost when they get up to 10 blades...
first there was one blade, then two, three, four and now five blades. One drugstore I go to had an alarm system on the blades, can you imagine that.

9. Welcome to the deregulation nightmare.
Where business and corporations run a muck with no controls. Where monopolies rule with tax breaks. Where corporations sell appliances that catch on fire and have no safety or quality standards. Free trade, free trade, free trade.
