I was watching Webb give a floor speech today and hoped Virginia is proud.

I was watching Jim webb give a speech on Iraq on the floor of the senate and wondered how the people of Virginia felt about him and if they are happy to have elected him.
He, as always, was great. This man is really someone who is going to cause a stir and respect for years.
He would make a great Sec of State (compare this guy to Condi!).
Anyway, just thought I'd congrats to Virginia for having some good sense and hope they will re elect him.

2. true. But, I was thinking of Webb vs Condi as SOS and wow....

the mind boggles. And then you realize there is absolutely no one competent in that administration and that is scary.
Also the repug field of candidates and lack of leadership.
The repugs were whining why couldn't they have an Obama to run? I thought I bet they also wish they had a Webb, too.

3. Webb seems to have a special skill for showing up POS Rethugs

First he made the Macaca crumble, then he made the chimp look like, well, something even lower on the evolutionary scale. Webb vs Condi is almost laughable until you realize how sad the reality is.

4. I was at a mall today (Virginian here), and saw someone with

a bumper sticker that said, "Condi 08." I almost gagged.

Not only to have a Dem senator represent me, but to have this one? Feeling pride rather than embarrassment? It's a sensation altogether new to me, and quite frankly, I like it. I feel like I can... breathe.

(And, aside from him beating ol' Macaca, finding out that Webb's a fellow MacGregor about made my damn year... :D)

7. Webb does make us proud and Webb shows the power of grassroots

Webb refused to accept money from special interest groups and would not accept money from those who really couldn't afford to give. But what got him elected was grassroots' efforts. We canvassed, attended events across Virginia pulling little red wagons with Webb literature, we manned phone banks...we put our hearts and souls into getting him elected.

The MSM and the Republicans will do everything possible to discredit Webb because they fear him since he has integrity and can not be bought. If you missed the article on fairness that he wrote for the Wall Street Journal, let me know and I'll send you the URL.

I only wish that we had more senators and representatives with Jim Webb's integrity, intelligence, experience, knowledge and expertise.

But it isn't just Virginia that is blessed with Jim Webb, it is the nation!
