Are there wires hanging from all of them?
Do they all tick?

It's good to be aware, it's sad to claim everything suspicious.

2. My package doesn't smell of cheese

To quote Sir Paul, "it's a clean machine."

Very strange.

3. My package doesn't smell of cheese either, but I do enjoy the smell
Even more so the taste. Seriously, why the hell not just investigate "suspicious" packages with a low profile and not make it a media circus? Oh, I forgot, they have to scare the prols into submission.

5. What was that story a few weeks back?
Suspicious package in an airport bathroom, or some such thing. It was a purse. A purse.

7. They've got 'Suspicious Package' stamped all over them??

Doesn't seem too far fetched in an era where a hijackers passport or identification floats down nearly into a cop's hands, and they leave a car at an airport with all their names and details of their plans in it...

9. anything unattended in an airport is considered suspicious
And after years of working at airline ticket counters, I'm glad that they are. The counters are very vulnerable to attack because they're generally far in front of security checkpoints and are usually filled with passengers. Most airports patrol the non-secure areas of an airport with bomb-sniffing dogs, but that probably wouldn't stop something with a short detonation time.
