BillOreilly.com Being Investigated by Secret Service

After seeing this post by John Aravosis on AmericaBlog, I was incensed and concerned at the same time. Here is the comment on O'Reilly's blog that crossed the line:

If Hillary wins, I will be respectful of our leader. If you could read my thoughts, I would be on the SS watch list.

So, I did what a responsible person should do when they see something like this on a blog. I called the Secret Service to report it. This comment isn't about politics or defaming Senator Clinton. It outright states a threat to her life. It is unacceptable.

The Secret Service, who does an amazing job protecting their subjects, were very professional. The first person I spoke to transferred me to another person. Initially, she dismissed my comments. But, when I read her the comment and suggested that the person could be easily identified, she took me much more seriously. She called back minutes later, asking me to talk to someone else. That agent took the information and said that he would refer it to their Internet team.

11. During the Clinton years, I complained about Nina Totenberg.

Early in his presidency the right wing was really on his case. Totenberg did a story for NPR that obviously they had handed her about how he was never going to be able to accomplish any of his agenda. Then, she ended her story with "...so Clinton is obviously dead meat."

I called the listener comment line and asked how Ms Totenberg would feel if some lunatic heard her words, thought she was speaking to him, and killed Clinton. How dare she use such inflammatory words about a president. I was furious. I said, how can she say something like that when we are so early into his term. Who is she working for?

The posters at BillO.com pay for the privilege of posting.The bloviator can dissociate from them all he wants, it doesn't change the fact that these posts were made by long-time members of his site. They are not anonymous. O'Lielly's people have the credit card numbers and addresses of each and every one of them. BillO has made money from lunatics that threatened a former First Lady.
