What the hell?
Is this a comedy site?

"Do not say more. During WWII Germany sent a sub to the US with a NUCLEAR BOMB on board. Luckily German SS spies informed us and we were able to intercept it. The four Japs on board whom were going to deliver it inland killed themselves. When this happened over 50 years ago what does it say about today’s terrorists?"

2. Never happened.
Comedy? Sure--nothing's funnier than a good old ethnic slur.

3. Sort of happened
Not bombs, but enough uranium to make two bombs. Here's the story:

4. Trust me, it's a comedy site.
And not a very good one, at that.

But this is a lone commenter who doesn't know history very well and doesn't give a shit to look anything up.

The Nazis or the Japanese never had the bomb. Not even close. Their scientists knew of Einstein and the famous E=Mc2 and the potential that it had. There were even some attempts to prove the theories, but nothing ever came of it.

But they could never figure it out.

Why? because the Nazis drove every talented physicist, mathematician and chemist away. And, they figured everyone else had given up, too.

The Japanese never had any scientists with nuclear expertise. But when the bomb went off, the Japanese scientists knew immediately what it was. Maybe they knew for years, but didn't tell.

So it wasn't even on their radar screen (there's another story about that, too).

7. The closest the Germans got in WWII to a nuclear wepon...
was to a radiological device; they didn't figure out how to induce fission. All this is pretty well-documented. And the idea that a U-boat would sail from, say, Bremerhaven and thence across the Atlantic with Japanese aboard is a bit far-fetched, too...why Japanese? When there were plenty of Germans in the U-boat service ready to give their lives for the Reich? (Check out the U-boat casualty figures sometimes...the loss rate was staggering; about 75%...743 submarines and 30,000 sailors lost)

Totally unbelievable, but still a nice yarn to tell the kiddies.
