Reagan official saying bush preparing
To create another 9/11

World
White House preparing to stage new September 11 - Reagan official
13:58 | 20/ 07/ 2007

Print version

WASHINGTON, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - A former Reagan official has issued a public warning that the Bush administration is preparing to orchestrate a staged terrorist attack in the United States, transform the country into a dictatorship and launch a war with Iran within a year.

Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, blasted Thursday a new Executive Order, released July 17, allowing the White House to seize the assets of anyone who interferes with its Iraq policies and giving the government expanded police powers to exercise control in the country.

Roberts, who spoke on the Thom Hartmann radio program, said: "When Bush exercises this authority , there's no check to it. So it really is a form of total, absolute, one-man rule."

"The American people don't really understand the danger that they face," Roberts said, adding that the so-called neoconservatives intended to use a renewal of the fight against terrorism to rally the American people around the fading Republican Party.

1. Well, if Congress would do its job and check the powers of the executive branch,
as THE FOUNDERS INTENDED, maybe we wouldn't be in such trouble?

7. And, maybe Congress doesn't do it's job because the citizens are too preoccupied
with American Idol and perusing the malls?

I'm thinking that this is the end we deserve, for being so complacent.

preoccupied with American Idol and perusing the malls?

People here would say that even if the malls were going out of business and American Idol's ratings dropped to 0.

We have been TRYING to make ourselves heard. It's not working.

I'm thinking that this is the end we deserve, for being so complacent.

We didn't deserve to have our country stolen!

That's a bit like blaming a woman for getting raped because she could not fight off her attacker.

You are also mistaking despair for complacency.

20. So, the people who have, in the past, expressed their views to their reps are now doing so at an
increased rate.

The average USian is NOT that involved.

2. This is what it means to be a Republican...
actually not, but it certainly shows how hungry the elected Republicans are for power.

Sadly, the Democrats are playing by the rules; the Republicans depend on it.

3. Post 9/11 anti-terrorism legislation was based on a false premise
Edited on Sun Jul-22-07 11:47 PM by noise
The POTUS ignored the August 6 PDB, vacationed while the system was blinking red and then sat in Booker Elementary without a clue. All the police state legislation in the world wouldn't have made a difference because the POTUS was derelict in his duty. Thus, one can reasonably conclude that the police state legislation has always been intended for an ulterior purpose.

11. I think the military would stand with the ex-presidents.
I think our military leaders realize we're at war to take over Middle Eastern oil, not to protect ourselves.

I bet this staged attack happens in August. ...I don't know, call it a "gut feeling".

"I TOLD YOU SO" from me. Everyone should get this out to all they know, just in case it happens.

15. This is deeply troubling.
You know they aren't going to relinquish power easily, but as the media is slowly starting to report what's happening and some more Americans are beginning to wake up, the BFEE has to find something to bring it all back to order.

I wish Congress would get busy. I wish the Repukes in Congress would realize that the BFEE is NOT going to protect them. But I think they hope they will be rewarded for loyalty or something.

Now I wish I could get passports more quickly for me and my family. I want to be able to leave if it really gets that bad.

23. I am really getting a Cassandra complex
I've been saying this would happen since the beginning. People pretty much thought I'd gone over the edge. I watched carefully when Stupid was governer of my state. I remember Rove pulling phony tricks. One of them was that he bugged his own office and claimed the Dems did it. He went before the press holding wires and made a circus out of it. I knew he was being groomed for POTUS as a reliable, seemingly amiable puppet. At that moment, I feared for my country.
