Framing: Rename Al Qaeda in Mespotamia as AQIM

Remember how the Republicans tried to make drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge more palatable to the American public by relentlessly referring to the Refuge by its initials, "ANWR." What if we tried to do the same thing with the Al Qaeda ofshoot in Iraq, Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia. How about, since its not really Al Qaeda, we start referring to it everywhere we can by its initials, "AQIM." That would take away some of the Bush Administration's demagogic argument that the war in Iraq is a fight against Al Qaeda.
