Interrogation order...Bush, Pelosi spar...Cheney to be in charge, briefly

WHITE HOUSE (AP) President Bush has signed an executive order barring cruel and inhuman treatment of terror suspects during detention and interrogation. The order does not mention what practices are still allowed.

WASHINGTON (AP) President Bush hands over power to Vice President Cheney tomorrow, but not for long. A White House spokesman says Bush is having a routine colonoscopy, and will transfer presidential powers during the exam. During a similar test in 2002, Cheney became acting president for about two hours.

WASHINGTON (AP) President Bush says Democratic leaders are focusing on the politics of Iraq, and not the military needs of U-S troops. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says Bush's comments show he's unwilling to work with Congress on Iraq.

ATLANTA (AP) An Atlanta courtroom was packed with supporters today for a young man serving a ten-year prison term for having consensual sex with another teen. Georgia's highest court heard an appeal of the case today. A ruling in the complicated case could take weeks.
