The Republicans move in the Senate is a repudiation of Democratic voters.
It is very clear now that over the years we have elected representation that is either unwilling or unable to stand up for the needs of their constituents, us.

These republicans managed to vote in leaders that have, in all honesty, held the line. They made promises and they are keeping them by using their minority power.

WHAT does it say about our party that we win back our majority, have an overwhelming mandate from the people and that we can't do anything about it.

Take a good look at some of these people we vote for. To start with much of their starting line up is full over the same jokers who managed to lose a multi-generational majority during the first TWO YEARS of our first unified government in after 12 horrible years under Regan Bush. That was obscene we deserved better then that.

Right now the republicans are showing us what the Democrats at that time could have done to protect Clinton, they should have fought with him. The Republicans gave these guys a smack-down in 94 because they energized the republican base, but the democratic response (trying to energize the republican base) was just absurd.

Then with the election of Bush and the events of 9-11 these guys just gave up and went home. While there is plenty of blame for the Republicans in the direction this country has been headed, we must also blame their silent collaborators our democratic leadership.

The lesson for us is do a better job in the primaries voting.
