So I sent my usual letter to Pelosi
on Impeachment

And today we got a letter back from her.

Essentially she told us to buzz off.

I will be sending her a letter asking her to step down as speaker and perhaps not to run in '08

She is obviously mot qualified to deal with the people and she's scared shitless.

I suspect what she's scared shitless, but you know what? Troops take exactly that risk every day in Iraq. If she cannot take exactly that risk, to defend and defend the consottution, well then, she should not be in public life

4. just heard a Malloy listener write in to say if Pelosi doesn't impeach *,
she'll quit her 6-figure job to work for Sheehan and the area won't return Pelosi to office. Sounds good to me.

6. So here is my angry response to her letter
Madame Speaker,

On your letter of June 28th, 2007 you told me essentially to buzz off.

First off, that is not kind.

Second off, as the Speaker you will get letters from the United States. My letter to you was about Impeachment, which you have told us is off the table. I have news for you, Madame Speaker. The Citizens of this country want it, so bad they could taste it. Why? This is a nation of laws, or at least WAS a nation of laws. If nothing is done, then this Republic is dead.

If you cannot or will not do this, step down as Speaker of the House. You can be assured that we the people will continue to demand that you abide by your oath of office.

Here is it for you to refresh your memory…

OATH of OFFICE
The oath of office required by the sixth article of the Constitution of the United States, and as provided by section 2 of the act of May 13, 1884 (23 Stat. 22), to be administered to Members, Resident Commissioner, and Delegates of the House of Representatives, the text of which is carried in 5 U.S.C. 3331:
``I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.''
Oh and this is article four, section two of the US Constitution regarding Impeachment:

Article II
Section 4. The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
If you cannot do this, step down, resign.

Oh and one last thing, I can guarantee that the Democrats will LOOSE the house and the Senate if you continue to refuse to do your Constitutional duty. You ARE our representatives, not those of the Corporations. If you are afraid of receiving Anthrax, think of the 19 year old with an M-16 in Iraq. You think he is not scared shitless every time he goes over the wire? So, if that is your fear, step down, let somebody who will do what is required step up to the plate.

Sincerely

XXXX
PS, this is a veteran’s household. To say that we are unimpressed is to put it mildly.

7. Here in Kansas.......
...

I run into so many people that watch Fox and haven't a clue what's going on. I mentioned that 54% wanting Cheney impeached and they had absolutely no clue as to why anyone would want that.

My point is that a very large portion of the county is not on board for this. I wish they were. But they are watching FOX and all is good. Sure they see that some people don't like Bush but it's just because the war isn't going well.

I think the Dem leadership fell the more of the nation needs to get on board.

Dear ....

Thank you for contacting me to express your thoughts about an issue important to our nation. I encourage you, if you have not already, to contact your Particular Member of Congress on this issue as well.

Again, thank you for contacting me. I appreciate your comments and look forward to continuing to communicate on matters of concern.

Sincerely,

Nancy Pelosi

Speaker of the House

(given it has been only impeachment it was easy to guess. She didn't evnn adress it directly or the poor staffer printing it)

19. It's just a form letter. Much ado about nothing, sorry to tell you that.
I'm for impeachment, in fact I think it's mandatory... Whether the Senate convicts or not is irrelevant, the House Dems MUST take action. History must show that Democrats tried to stop Bush from illegal domestic spying, lying to Congress, etc.

But you're getting angry because you got an automatic form letter. That's not worth getting angry about.

Otherwise, keep the pressure on (and I agree, please do contact your local and regional Representatives on impeachment)

When I worked on the hill we would usually forward the letter to the appropriate Congressman or Senator.

and you are her employer, and every other ameican is her employer

Why should she be scared of the unwashed masses?

And it is that attitude that will ead to a loss of both houses

21. Actually, she has two sets of employers
1. The voters of California's 8th Congressional District

2. Members of the House of Representatives

As long as she keeps a majority of these people happy, she gets to keep her job.

any longer

Posting the letters and changed that one slighty, edited, and added the mess from this night...

But quite brutally honest... I am reaching the point of going to hell with it.
