So I had a very strange dream
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 09:26 PM by nadinbrzezinski
Essentially our fearless leader broke into all programing, web, tv, radio, you mention it... ALL media was preempted

As he started speaking a sense of dread filled me.

He said, as of this moment the US Constitution is suspended, and the House and Senate are dissolved

he is now the Emperor of the US....

All of a sudden off camera screams, and gun shots. Then he is grabbed, and a man in the army uniform and the rank of general, but face is very fuzzy takes a seat

He calmly says, the US Military has acted to preserve the Constitution and refused orders to nuke Iran.

As of this moment he is the temporary president, then he faces the camera and says the following. The Congress of the United States has two weeks to decide to do its constitutional duty. If they still refuse to, they are dissolved and new elections are up in 90 days, and no incumbent will be allowed to run. Somebody passes him a piece of paper, he reads from it, four out of five Justices have stepped down, as well as 30% or so of the judiciary. He again looks at the camera. The Congress has 30 days, if they do not, they will be dissolved and barred from ruining from even for dog catcher. Oh and he also informs us that the pull out from Iraq has begun... then I woke up...

Weird huh?

Just wanted to share, I know it is an anxiety dream

they were my MIL's who passed away I kept them because I thought they may be interesting to read someday. I might just go and retrieve them now to see what they say about your dream, if I find anything interesting I will let you know.

8. I'm getting to like your dream.
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 09:41 PM by Octafish
The good men and women in uniform know a traitor when they see one. And they know Smirko McCokespoon is a crazy monkey, to boot.

Seeing the Constitution suspended -- even if for a brief moment -- just to get the BFEE behind bars almost seems worth it. It may be the only thing that saves the Constitution. But first, I'd recommend we exhaust all other possible ways of legally removing the traitor and his henchmen.

Unfortunately, I have a nightmare, an ever-crystalizing whopper of a nightmare: In it, a long line of other generals and admirals -- in and out of uniform and from the CIA wearing plainchlothes -- are the ones behind the monkey and Poppy and Prescott and others on back through time. These treasonous types and those they represent are the turds who've profited from war since Vietnam and Korea and World War II and World War I and the Spanish-American War and the Civil War. These Merchants of Death are the real powers behind the War Party.

And they don't ever go away. They're armed to the teeth. And now they've got nukes.

EDIT: Added last two sentences.

but there are merchants of death, that is for sure...

Of course the logical conclusion ot this draem is the begining of a very hot civil war, perhaps that is why I woke up in a cold sweat

“Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic.”

She's present in our country right now, just waiting to make her - to carry out her divine mission

http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=07/02/27/1454229

CHALMERS JOHNSON: Nemesis was the ancient Greek goddess of revenge, the punisher of hubris and arrogance in human beings. You may recall she is the one that led Narcissus to the pond and showed him his reflection, and he dove in and drowned. I chose the title, because it seems to me that she's present in our country right now, just waiting to make her -- to carry out her divine mission.

By the subtitle, I really do mean it. This is not just hype to sell books -- “The Last Days of the American Republic.” I’m here concerned with a very real, concrete problem in political analysis, namely that the political system of the United States today, history tells us, is one of the most unstable combinations there is -- that is, domestic democracy and foreign empire -- that the choices are stark. A nation can be one or the other, a democracy or an imperialist, but it can't be both. If it sticks to imperialism, it will, like the old Roman Republic, on which so much of our system was modeled, like the old Roman Republic, it will lose its democracy to a domestic dictatorship.

I’ve spent some time in the book talking about an alternative, namely that of the British Empire after World War II, in which it made the decision, not perfectly executed by any manner of means, but nonetheless made the decision to give up its empire in order to keep its democracy. It became apparent to the British quite late in the game that they could keep the jewel in their crown, India, only at the expense of administrative massacres, of which they had carried them out often in India. In the wake of the war against Nazism, which had just ended, it became, I think, obvious to the British that in order to retain their empire, they would have to become a tyranny, and they, therefore, I believe, properly chose, admirably chose to give up their empire.

As I say, they didn't do it perfectly. There were tremendous atavistic fallbacks in the 1950s in the Anglo, French, Israeli attack on Egypt; in the repression of the Kikuyu -- savage repression, really -- in Kenya; and then, of course, the most obvious and weird atavism of them all, Tony Blair and his enthusiasm for renewed British imperialism in Iraq. But nonetheless, it seems to me that the history of Britain is clear that it gave up its empire in order to remain a democracy. I believe this is something we should be discussing very hard in the United States

29. Last night I had the strangest dream
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 11:59 PM by rhiannon55
I'd ever dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war

I dreamed I saw a mighty room
Filled with women and men
And the paper they were signing said
They'd never fight again

And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful prayers were prayed

And the people in the streets below
Were dancing 'round and 'round
While swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground

Last night I had the strangest dream
I'd never dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.
--Ed McCurdy

A dream I like to have; the scary one is more likely to happen. :-( :scared:

32. Well, read this USAF/INSS Occasional Paper 11 from October 1996
written by Charles J, Dunlap Jr., a military philosopher, Staff Judge Advocate Strategic Air Command, and an Information Warfare specialist among other things.

"Melancholy Reunion: A Report From The Future On The Collapse Of Civil-Military Relations In The United States"
http://www.guerrillacampaign.com/coup.htm

Politicized military commanders make for some very strange dreams indeed.
