13. I doubt it was intentional
people can and do get food poisoning, and I've never heard it being used in an attempted assassination.

8. He's no longer in the hospital
I believe he knows what he ate that made him sick, based on a conversation I had earlier today with someone in his campaign. I asked if anyone else who ate the same food got sick and this person didn't know.

16. Well, bless his heart.
I've gotten a bad dose of food poisoning and can empathize.

Wherever you are, Dennis, rest and re-hydrate. And remember to avoid those mayonnaise-based salads at fundraisers, especially during the summer!

20. Hmm. I suppose he could have picked it up from something like improperly washed
salad fixings, then. It doesn't matter. As long as he knows what it was, that's the main thing. Mine was from a buffet table at a friend's baby shower, and I think that the pasta salad had been out too long. Anyway, only the guests who ate it got sick.

14. organic?
He's a vegan I think. We shop at Whole foods and eat mostly Organic food which for the long run is better for you... we aren't totally vegetarian but try to eat whole, green and healthy..... but my daughter is doing her Science experiment on the rate of mold growth on Organic Vs Non-Organic fruits... research seems to point out her results should prove Organic food grows mold faster...

but it's still the lesser of 2 evils... a little stomach bug from some mold or cancer that kills you from pesticide?

you chose..

19. He got the same thing in '04.
Kucinich is a serious vegan. Live food, etc. When I was on the campaign trail with him, supporters would reach into the van and hand him tupperware vats filled with home-made vegan live food. Greenish goo, mostly - no offense to vegans intended. This practice caught up with him in Alaska, and took him out for several days.

Smart money says something similar took place here.
