3. I wonder what the world thinks about OUR prison system.
We have a disproportionate number of minority males in prison for long sentences.

We put teenager in jail for having sex with each other.

We routinely taser unarmed prisoners for "noncompliance".

We have tasered prisoners to death for "noncompliance".

We get reports of at least once a week about a person arrested and abused in some fashion and then charges dropped.

We put children in prison.

We execute.

We hold political prisoners for years without any charges or legal representation.

We torture political prisoners.

4. I came in on the story towards the end on the radio ...
and I thought it was Borat doing a routine with NPR. I kept waiting for laughter or something to signal it was a joke, but then it ended they said what the report was about. I felt horrible.
