1. Large quantities of good spliff might have helped too
Although with his fucked-up brain chemistry, it probably just made him even more paranoid.

or whatever, before he first became "governor," the world would still be better for it...

18. I've read that there's a photo of Dubya dancing on a pool table
wearing naught but cowboy boots that they were desperate to get all the copies of before he ran for President. Don't know if there's any truth in that rumor.

6. he would have jumped out of a window, believing he could fly ...
he's a perfect poster child for a life based on a lie.

i, on the other hand, would consider it a slam-dunk.

4. Man.....I've been saying that forever..
These dipshits are still pissed cuz they couldn't get laid during the summer of love, and now they're taking it out on everybody.

The folks who are too chicken-shit to dose are the ones that need it the most.

It really does "tune" you "in", of course.:hippie:

7. there's an interesting, if obscure theory, about the JFK assassination...
...that JFK had -- or was considering -- "turning on" in the White House (no, I don't mean with Marilyn Monroe, that was already happening ;-), and thus, the powers that be could not afford to have, to risk, such a "President" in the White House....

8. I heard that he did turn on in the WH..
Those are two more reasons to consider him a hero, and a great American.

Eating acid.....and getting it on with Marilyn Monroe. :+

15. Wow - great photo
I can see so much in there - what is he thinking?
"I can see traces as my hands move"
"I can see an aura around my hand"
"I can't see my hand"
LOL...

Reminds me of the t'ai chi movement "grasp sparrow's tail"
"In the next form in our tai chi series, think about holding and examining a little bird."

Tai chi forms: Grasp the sparrow's tail
Exercise of the Week

By LISA LIDDANE
The Orange County Register

In the next form in our tai chi series, think about holding and examining a little bird.

Thus, the name, "Grasp the sparrow's tail."

This long form has several sets of movements.

"Ward off" is the first set.

Remember to move slowly and deliberately as if in slow motion.

GRASP THE SPARROW'S TAIL: WARD OFF

• Stand with weight on right leg, left leg extended forward with heel on ground.

• Extend left arm forward to chest level and move right arm backward.

• Move back left foot close to right foot while you move right arm from back to front in a half arc, elbow bent.

• Sweep left arm from front to left side at waist level.

• Step forward with left foot, heel on ground, as you lift left arm up to chest level.

• Continue moving right arm down.

• Shift weight to left leg and lower ball of left foot to the ground, then extend right leg.

• Bring left arm forward at chest level. Continue moving right arm down.

9. He would have short circuted
If you've done acid then you know certain brains are not equipped to deal with it properly. One of two things would have happened with GW. He would have freaked out, and his buddies would have had to spend 8 hours talking him down or he would have liked it and turned into Charles Fucking Manson.

16. No kiddin'
I cannot imagine that type of brain handling anything like a full on trip experience. It's simply not possible for emotionally weak people to have a good outcome from going all out on LSD. IMHO.

19. He did but he didn't like it.
It made him think about his life. (I heard this from a deceased friend--who knew Shrub back in the day.)

But I'm sure cocaine made him realize that he was Wonderful! (As long as he didn't run out of money. That shit's expensive.)

Thompson wasn't too particular about who he'd get stoned with.

21. Remember Grace Slick's effort to spike the Nixon White House punch bowl?
Grace, of Jefferson Airplane fame, was a college friend of one the Nixon daughters. She was invited to a White House tea, and hoped to turn on Trickie Dick. The President didn't show up.

Nixon was already way out there. He might not have changed a bit.

WIKIPEDIA -

The character of Richard Nixon sings this song in the Futurama episode "A Head in the Polls," telling his audience, "I'm meeting you halfway, you stupid hippies!"

The song was mentioned in Hunter S. Thompson's book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in the memorable scene in which Dr. Gonzo (the attorney) asks Thompson to throw the tape deck into the bath with him during a bad acid trip:
""White Rabbit." I need rising sound … And when it comes to that fantastic note where the rabbit bites its own head off, I want you to throw that fuckin' radio into the tub with me!"

Gotta be Synchronicity, or something, on that one.
