I am not making this up: Clinton is the cause of the Republican sex scandals!
A story in the Christian Science Monitor was just reported on MSNBC. The author, Christopher Wood, attempts to make the case -- with a straight face, even -- that the reason so many Republicans are getting caught buggering little boys and prostitutes and what not is becaue Clinton made it acceptable. He said it kind of started with Gary Hart (Dem, of course) but that Clinton codified it.

Now, if I'm not mistaken, Bill and Monica were both adults have consensual sex. There were no laws broken, no minors or hookers or diapers or office harrassment, just good old fashioned nookie between grown-ups who were attracted to each other. Apparently the Republicans had held off preforming any of their illegal sex acts until Bill got his knob waxed.

Really. I am not making this up. The Republican sex scandals are Clinton's fault.

These people are just fucking mad. As in nuts. Crazy. Out of their illegally-fucking minds.

1. That's pretty predictable - and it's not even the worst example of this kind of argument
The worst kind is the idea that Enron and other corporate scandals are Clintons fault because somehow executives believed that if Clinton could get away with a consensual affair, they could get away with stealing millions.

22. Henry Hyde's infidelity came out during that time, too
But, since it took place before the Clinton-Lewinsky thing, Hyde was able to claim it was a youthful indiscretion.

23. Obviously, and 9/11 is all Clinton's fault
so was Pearl Harbor, the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, the Civil War, the Charge of the Light Brigade, the torching of the White House during the War of 1812, the fall of Constantinople in 1453, the Black Plague killing millions in Europe, the Dark Ages and the Fall of the Roman Empire.

They just wanted to emulate him. Trouble is, all the ADULT WOMEN were too bright to fuck a republican (at least, not without substantial remuneration).

21. I can't say I'm surprised at all
Repugs consistently use the more primitive defense mechanisms of projection, reaction formation, etc. They're typically extremely left-brained, with very little insight.

25. That's almost too stupid for words
Congressional sex scandals have a history that goes back well before Clinton. Remember Paula Parkinson anyone? How about Bob Bauman. Henry Hyde was philadering when Clinton was still in college.
