It would be great to be rid of Pete Domenici of New Mexico. I had the unpleasant opportunity to hear an interview with him yesterday evening. My god what an idiot. When he's not wandering the Capitol in the wee hours of the morning in his jammies, Domenici is spouting election-year pablum about Iraq. I was stunned to hear how incoherent and irrelevant he sounded. I've heard 11th grade government councils who are more informed than Pete Domenici.

And I don't think anybody at my house will miss Elizabeth Dole. What exactly has that woman added to our republic? "Sugar Lips" they used to call her when she was a Cabinet secretary. Sugar Lips indeed. She'll need all the sugar in town to survive a strong challenge, what with a 47% approval rating at the moment.
