Heavy coverage of Bush's retread same ol' same ol' -- not a word about hearings
The freakin' committee just authorized the issuance of subpoenas for the RNC e-mails, on top of the possible contempt charges about to be brought against Miers, and what is every news stations talking about? Bush's stupid press conference.

Damned liberal media.

1. I can't even look at the Chimp.
I accidentally tuned in to the presser, saw him smirking, and switched to the Weather Channel.

What an awful president.

2. That's deliberate
Both CNN and MSNBC gave us partial coverage of the hearings yesterday.
The PC was timed to prevent that.

3. Yeah, notice how it dragged on...until the hearing ended?
Suddenly Bush had to run. Hmm.

Another mission accomplished.

6. At least 15 minutes since the hearing ended and NO MENTION on MSM
Nope. The president's council is about to be found in contempt, subpoenas authorized for the RNC...nothing to see here, move along. Here are some more pictures of our Glorious Leader. Oh, and yet another story about shitty Chinese products.

But not a word about the hearings.

Damned liberal media.

7. This presser WAS the distraction...
This ALWAYS happens, one disaster or scandal is talked about 2-3 days, then ANOTHER happens just to distract.

It doesn't matter how many things come forward that are illegal, how many are unethical, how many subvert the constitution, they continue to DISTRACT.

9. Half an hour later...a "HEROES" profile on CNN. No word of Miers' CONTEMPT
But hey...a fluff piece about a good soldier is obviously far more newsworthy than a contempt finding against the president's former attorney, right?

Damned liberal media.

10. NPR carried the Smirkenfuhrer live!
Now at the top of hour, the news lead off is a series of Smirkys inane comments. This was followed by a mention of Al Queada being ready to attack after regrouping in Aghanistan/Pakistan. That was followed by a Whistleblower about airline safety

NPR's 12:00 top news story recap:

Bush Press conference - snippets of Smirky's scare-mongering and general delusions.

Al Queda regrouping in Afghanistan/Pakistan - "positioned to strike the west"

Whistleblowers on air traffic safety - whistlers claim that there is massive conspiracy to hide near miss data of flying aircraft.

These blurbs have led into a further discussion of Bush's press conference.

No mention of ANY Congressional hearings.
