I went to see "Sicko" preparing not to like it

but I think it's the most unified and coherent of all Moore's films.

I felt that the most important question the film asks is why we don't care about each other enough to help each other.

Go see it. Really. It will make you disgusted with the American health care system.

Michael Moore is a fine film maker...that's his art and his passion...Lucky for us he's also a liberal progressive that cares!

7. Bowling for Columbine and F-9/11

really struck me as propaganda pieces that only told part of the story. His style of jumping around I thought undermined the narrative instead of supporting it in both films. I also thought there were parts of both films that were more about him than about what he was ostensibly trying to show. In short, I thought both films needed someone who wasn't Michael Moore to be heavily involved with the project.

I didn't have those complaints about this film. :)

10. I loved 9/11! We got some real

news about the bushits that wasn't presented by the corporatemediawhores and I was hungry for that.

I'm glad you liked Sicko, though..I'll see it someday. I'm under the radar on all the so-called health care in America.

I'm already disgusted with the "health"care system in the U.$.
We have had, for some time now, decisions about our health care being made by insurance piggies and attorneys.
I have heard a good buzz about Sicko. Unfortunately, just like every other scam in America, nothing will come out of it. Just too much money being made.

5. It's a system built around the business model that there really cannot

be a sale until a disease has manifested. This may be due to the fact that only pantentable chemicals can bring truly huge profits. The doctors and nurses and administrators are caught up in this machine designed to treat disease. It will be a great day when more doctors and nurses are graduating from universities that have at least 25% of their curriculum similar to the one at Bastyr University.

4. I also felt apprehensive about seeing it.

But I just got back and it was great. And yes, I am more disgusted than ever with our current situation. It's sad to see what abuse we put up with as a society.

9. I saw most of it on Friday night. Moore hit a home run!

I was actually there to do some leafletting for SB 840 for moviegoers who were leaving, but my partner who had the materials hadn't shown up. I called the main organizer, he called my leafletting partner, and it turned out he wasn't coming until 9:30 pm when the screening playing right then (it was about 7:45) was over. I decided to buy a ticket and see most of the movie with the audience we were going to be leafletting! The audience was definitely affected. I myself was "pushed to the left" even further than before! Even the usher would come in to check on things, see what the health care industry was doing, and shake his head. When the movie ended, I told the people sitting next to me that there would be a man with some information on how to get more involved outside the theatre (my leafletting partner, who I would then join in leafletting) One man responded, "Where is he? I feel ashamed to be an American!" It was a small but very passionate crowd, and we did end up handing out quite a few leaflets. A woman who was going in to see another movie heard the word "Sicko" and it turned out she had seen it another time. She asked for several leaflets on her way into the theatre! I am taking my Dad to see Sicko to celebrate his birthday in a few weeks.

11. I was prepared not to like it too. I'm 61 years old and I figured

that I am on the cusp of real immersion in the US medical system. I didn't want to hear the bad news, I didn't want to be reminded of what I'm facing. Instead, the movie is hopeful and very funny. Hopeful because Moore points out that so many other countries have a much better approach to medical care, and funny...because he is just able to deliver a very serious message with great humor!
