May I ask mr. powell, what did you think your presentation before the U.N. would cause?

In fact, why didn't you resign in 2003 when "they disregarded your advice"

You have no credibility or integrity

Tell that to the 3500 plus dead Americans, 25000+ wounded Americans, and 100000+ Iraqiis

2. I'll *never* forget Powell shaking that little vial of nothing at his UN presentation.
Shaking that vial and trying to scare the HELL out of everyone.

He knew better but still went up there and gave that presentation.

That's lower than low.

5. Dr. Mr Powell, Pack your bags and go home
you no longer have any credibility and trying to lie your way out of this disaster you could have publicly denounced before it started will only further your diminished integrity.

You could have resigned on the spot and gone public with the bu$h/cheney plan to destroy the world but you played their game instead.

Just go home and sit by the fire.

Tests rule out suspect bio-labs
Tuesday, April 15, 2003 Posted: 5:53 PM EDT (2153 GMT)

KARBALA, Iraq (CNN) -- The buried labs U.S. troops found last week were not the mobile chemical and biological weapons labs one U.S. Army general suspected, according to the head of an expert team brought in to examine them.

The 11 cargo containers were filled with new laboratory equipment apparently intended to make conventional weapons, said team leader Chief Warrant Officer 2 Monte Gonzalez.

14. Heh. It wasn't MEEEEE!
Poor Colin. Publically humiliated time and again by L'il Boots. Remember Dubya slapping down Jung's Sunshine Policy in the Rose Garden with Powell and the Korean president standing alongside? Bush saying he wasn't going to release Powell's promised proof of Osama's culpability with Powell right behind him? Used, abused, discarded, and can't get anyone to listen to him anymore. Poor, misunderstood Colin, poor, poor Colin. Someone give him a hug.

He is smooth and practiced. If someone that interviews him would have the guts to play Video Clips of his many contradiction more people would KNOW what a liar Powell is.

21. Rawstory report c/b true, but what is he expecting from this "revelation"?
Forgiveness? Does he hope he can get back into public office now that he's joining the bandwagon?

He failed miserably. He had the respect of a lot of people at the time and his refusal to go along with the lie MAY have made a difference. Big Army general turns coward when his country needs him.

Maybe I gave the impression I didn't believe the report of what Powell said. What I meant to say was maybe what Powell is saying is true. Thanks for the link anyway.

26. Powell just get the hell OUT !
People like this freak meed to be stripped of all their money and tossed into prison for the rest of their lying miserable lives .

It just astounds me how after all he and many others have done that they sit in luxury without a care in the world while so many others suffer , die or lose everything .

It makes me sick to even think about all the echos of the past 6 plus years that still reverberate and continue to go on .

27. Nothing new, really. It's in Bob Woodward's book:
PLAN OF ATTACK : Deciding on War
Behind Diplomatic Moves, Military Plan Was Launched
'We're Going to Have to Go to War,' Bush Said to Rice
By Bob Woodward
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, April 18, 2004; Page A01
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A19691-2004Apr17.html

""You know that you're going to be owning this place?" Powell said, reminding Bush of what he had told him at a dinner the previous August in which Powell had made the case against military action in Iraq. An invasion would mean assuming the hopes, aspirations and all the troubles of Iraq. Powell wasn't sure whether Bush had fully understood the meaning and consequences of total ownership."
