I know it is early in the am or late, I'm noticing something wrong on CNN.
We are all here, in a positive mood about what an amazing 24 hours has been shared on this planet.

All I've seen muted in the background on my TV screen is TERROR!

CNN is reporting TERROR WORLD WIDE! Terror in the US, Terror in the UK, Terror in Iraq, Terror in the Mid-East, Terror in a "small town", TERROR EVERYWHERE!

How can that be. Are we living on a different planet?

My brother, the pastor, well he told me so, but I don't talk to him anymore. I thought he and I lived on the same planet.

My planet is filled with hope and good will.

My planet is filled with love and not terror.

1. Well, hell, can't have any of that hippie dippy peace, love, green planet shit now
can we?

CNN has it's marching orders: Terra, terra, terra all the time.

However, this is my response:

FUCK YOU, CNN!!!!

You cannot, and you will not, extinguish my good feelings, my hope, and my prayers for this country, and this planet.

Look in the mirror, CNN.

You have a REALLY BAD CASE of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

My response to that is: :eyes:

3. Did you know that the April 2004 Pro-Choice March, with 1.2 million people, was THE largest

peaceful assembly on the Mall in United States History?

I bet you didn't. You certainly wouldn't have known it from the coverage on CNN that day, where any time not spent scouring racetracks for the elusive, invariably drunk-and-Bush-supportin' "NASCAR Voter" was devoted to the massively Earth-shattering import of Estee Lauder's death.

So, no, I'm not surprised. The Corporate Media particularly doesn't like it when "the little people" try to decide what should be news or talked about. THEY decide what is "News", not YOU.

5. As an aside:
I'm a NASCAR fan but I'm an even bigger fan of women's rights, minority rights, voting rights, and saving the planet.

What can I say? I must be an aberration! :7

8. I don't have anything against NASCAR. Not at all. We've got Sears Point out here.
But I thought that was ridiculous. It had very little to do with NASCAR, and had everything to do with CNN wanting to flog the idea that "everyone" in America was a flag-wavin', Bush-supportin', "Heartland Values Voter". While ignoring the fact that the majority of Americans are pro-choice, and 1.2 million of us came to DC that day specifically to make sure we were heard.

6. CNN?? Are They Still On?
I quit watching years ago when they became a Faux wannabe. If I wanted to watch Faux News I'd watch the original.

7. Well, are we going to take it or do something different? Someone inspired us this week.
Edited on Sun Jul-08-07 03:55 AM by Decruiter
Today just made it more imperative for us to stick with it. We read here at DU something about what Wes Clark had to say about Libby's commutation. Had Enough Yet? Well, starting Sunday (this morning) we are going to do what was suggested earlier this week. We are going to go and stand in a very public place with that sign, along with Impeach and many brochures to pass out in a place where there is guaranteed international traffic every day of the week, every day of the year from noon to 1:00 and we will do it every week from now on until we are stopped. Without fail. How many of you can guess where that might be? And no, it is not "ground zero" from 9/11/2001, but it is my very own ground zero, (along with a whole host of others), maybe if this crime had been solved we would never have had 9/11/2001. It is ground zero in my very humble historical perspective, but that is for another day.

So everyone, join with us this afternoon, stand someplace, anywhere, and say NO MORE!
