Why hasn't he been charged?????

Did Fitz think it was too politically difficult until after the election and the Democratic take-over? And when will he FINALLY charge the traitorous POS??

:wtf:

3. Because he's an ultrarich plutocrat
Bush and Cheney have committed COUNTLESS crimes, internationally and domestic. They can't be punished because this isn't a country of laws; it's a country with its own entrenched oligarchy that makes King George of old blush.

4. After revealing that Cheney is "deeply involved" in the Plame outing,
how can he avoid charging him?

6. I think the law is written
in a way that says you have to prove intent...or something like that..as I recall all the talking heads early on saying it is near impossible to prosecute the leak. Its the cover up.

9. Somebody sung about the Cheney memo.
Fitz just said so in open court. The cover has been blown. So why isn't Darth charged with something?

14. If my understanding of this is correct...
Cheney didn't destroy the memo himself, and there's no evidence that he conspired in its destruction.

WHY isn't there?

Because Libby perjured himself four times and obstructed justice, kicking sand in the umpire's eye so that a fair assessment of Cheney's involvement or non-involvement can be made. Under those circumstances, it's not fair to charge Cheney without clear evidence, but it is fair to hold he who prevents that clear evidence from being known, responsible for his actions in furtherance of that criminal act.

15. depends on what the memo said
they don't have the memo..is one problem...another is did it prove intent..or whatever they need to prove...see he leaked it...the memo would maybe have proved that but did he intend to leak it? Or did he intend to damage with the leak?

I am to lazy today to look it up but my understanding was they pretty much knew where the leak came from but it was not prosecutable. Would be great if that was wrong...but I don't believe anyone like Cheney, Bush, or Rove will ever be held accountable for a dam thin they have done...and they know it.

8. How could we avoid charging them for NSA warrantless wiretapping?
Or bombing the free press in Baghdad? Or stealing an election? Or anything else they've done?

11. I don't know. I do know what I just heard Fitz say in open court.
All we need is one smoking gun. I think we just got it.

19. Ah, yes, the "sealed" indictment
I was watching "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" last night about Chuck Barris - remember The Gong Show's Unknown Comic? - kind of sunk into my vocabulary, I guess.
