You may know that I loss my Sara this week. I just received a card from her vet that I would like to share with you.

We who choose to surround ourselves with lives
even more temporary than our own
live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.

Unable to accept its awful gaps,
we still would live no other way.

We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan...

I always say and believe that animals live in a state of grace. Remember that about Sara.

I think losing a pet is just one of the worst things in the world.
