3. Since Bacon came out strongly opposed to going into Iraq in 2003
and has consistently talked about the need to help refugees worldwide, and has GONE to places where our pols would fear to tread in order to help refugees, I don't quite get your point. Not all rich white folks are smarmy repukes who think only of themselves. Have you checked out www.refugeesinternational.org ? Have you read the story of David and Penny McCall, who gave money and their lives to helping refugees?

Kevin Bacon is anything but a blue blooded snob. Know this from personal experience.

5. I was laughing because folks could now use any band at any Live Earth concert or anybody who was in
any of the audiences or anybody who watched "Live Earth" when playing "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon". I wasn't implying anything about Kevin Bacon as a person. Peace.

8. Ok, I guess I understand
then this "six degrees" business is positive, I guess. I was thinking you were putting him down in some way because he wasn't a musician. I am not familiar with the "six degree". From your answer, I assume it means that we are all interconnected, which I know and understand. BTW Ken is a very neat person, that's for sure. If you ever have a chance, talk with him.

10. "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" is a parlor game
You prove that Person A is "six degrees from Kevin Bacon" by listing six people or things that have some loose connection, and the last one has to be Kevin Bacon. The more bizarre and tangential the connections are, the better.

Example of one round of "Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon"

1. My brother's favorite TV show is "House", starring Hugh Laurie
2. Hugh Laurie also played "Bertie Wooster", a character created by P.G. Wodehouse
3. P.G. Wodehouse's "Lord Emsworth" stories revolved around a pig named "Empress of Blandings"
4. George Orwell's book "Animal Farm" contains a pig named "Napoleon"
5. Napoleon's brother Joseph Boneparte lived for 17 years in Bordentown, New Jersey
6. Kevin Bacon appeared at "Live Earth" New Jersey

Therefor, my brother is six degrees from Kevin Bacon.

12. You can't keep up with everything!
I'm sure we older folks can make a few references that would go right over the head of the younger ones. :)

Kevin Bacon has tried to make some good come out of this parlor game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SixDegrees.org

SixDegrees.org is a website launched on January 18, 2007 by Kevin Bacon. SixDegrees is a web site that builds on the popularity of the "small world phenomenon" to create a charitable social network and inspire giving to charities online. Bacon started the network with celebrities who are highlighting their favorite charities – including Kyra Sedgwick (Natural Resources Defense Council), Nicole Kidman (UNIFEM), Ashley Judd (YouthAIDS), Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek (Clothes off Our Back), Dana Delany (Scleroderma Research Foundation), Robert Duvall (Pro Mujer), Rosie O'Donnell (Rosie's For All Kids Foundation), and Jessica Simpson (Operation Smile) - and he encouraged everyone to be celebrities for their own causes by joining the Six Degrees movement.

Just as you said, he's a stand-up guy! :hi:

7. Um....I Don't Think He Was Attacking Bacon.
The OP was not negative at all. Did you pick up a negative vibe telepathically? Perhaps this would help:
