Which station will you choose for Chimpy's SOTU (and Dem response)?
For those who are tuning in.

I think I'm going to watch MSNBC.

1. HDNet. I might switch to MSNBC to catch KO.
Although it might be difficult to watch Bush and Cheney in HD. :puke:

30. Yep. Some of the HD channels on my cable are free, others not.
I can't remember if HDNet costs extra. I think it does. Dan Rather is on there.

2. MSNBC - as much as I can stomach. Usually I just to have watch the clips and discussion afterward.
Can't stand Bush for even long enough to listen to something that really is important.

4. props to those who have the intestinal fortitude to actually sit througn a shrub speech . . .
I just can't watch or listen to the guy . . . after two minutes my head starts to ache . . . after five I begin to shake . . . if I make it to ten, the projectile vomiting begins . . .

seriously, though, I really can't watch him . . . I know a lot of you will take good notes and post summaries, so I'll catch up later . . .

5. MSNBC. I need Keith Olbermann because I want someone I know is on
my side. An equalizer, as it were.

I'm going to be sick, angry, and disgusted after seeing * on TV. He is such a liar and abuser. I can't believe he has the balls to face the nation after all he's done to harm us.

I hope the Dems in Congress are downright chilly toward him. No applause from the Dems, please! He has done nothing to earn that privilege.

6. I go between C-SPAN...no talk, just the facts, ma'am and MSNBC..KO and Tweety.
It depends on who is on MSNBC. Buchanan makes my blood boil, but KO is EXCELLENT.

7. I will watch on CNN, because their delay is WAY shorter than MSNBC, then switch
to MSNBC for the comments....on our cable service here, the delay is amazingly different....about a complete sentence and a half, almost two sentences...it is weird when you flip back and forth.

MSNBC for the comments

22. I'll turn on Keith Olberman at 8. I'd like to say I'll watch the actual
speech, but usually its only a sentence or two before I'm yelling LIAR at the TV and changing the channel. But I will make sure to see Jim Webb afterwards on MSNBC.

I assume that "Tweety" is Chris Matthews? How did he get that name? He seems more of a screecher like a Macaw to me...

32. Welcome to DU, turtlensue.
:hi: Matthews is referred to as Tweety because he has a remarkable resemblance to Tweety Bird of Tweety and Sylvester fame. Here is a link to our glossary, which may help to decipher our occasional head scratching shorthand.

33. Thanks
yes Tweety is appropriate. And actually my sister had a parakeet named tweety whose yellow head feathers used to stand up in a way reminiscent of Matthews when he gets overexcited/overloud..:P
