Ford to World: " Global Warming, Melting Glaciers and Stranded Polar Bears"
Ford doesn't have a clue

The complete full-page ad from The Hindustan Times, June 25, 2007.
An ad campaign launched today by Ford India seems to be making a mockery of worldwide resistance to global warming. It shows an iceberg apparently destroyed by the SUV and a couple of polar bears stranded on a thin ice sheet.

See full photo here in zip form plus the add at Ford's site.

4. To say they're shortsighted
is to say the Titanic had an accident. I can't believe the levels of stupidity, insensitivity and just outright greed they've surpassed!:wow:

7. Yes and the Indian blogger was outraged
Bangladesh would most likely have 13 million people displaced because of flooding.
US auto makers either have no clue or don't care. I go with don't care and the bottom dollar.

11. That looks like an interesting blog
I just read another entry "The failure of non-violence":

<snip>
In a way, Roy predicted - three years ago - the changing face of resistance movements around the country that we're witnessing today in Nandigram and elsewhere.

8. Deplorable
The creatures behind such marketing astound me. I don't guess they ever think about what is going to happen to their children. Or maybe they really, really don't care. I hope they are written up in history as such, naming names.

10. The people who designed and approved this ad
are clearly out of their freaking minds!!! (or they secretly work for one of Ford's competitors?)

This ad is all at once obscene, grotesque, deplorable, and vile!

12. "Freedom"?
I hate how America turns meaningful words into meaningless and jingoistic ad campaigns.

14. Because I'm an unwashed hippy socialist secularist
who loves abortion and wants to convert the world to Islam while spitting on an American flag with a bunch of gay Mexicans.

...Haven't you heard?!
