$3,000 reward in burned kitten incident (not for the faint at heart)
Forgotten Felines of Santa Rosa is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who set fire to a 2-month-old kitten in a cage at an apartment complex last week.

The male black domestic short hair kitten is being treated at an animal hospital in Cotati and there is concern about infection and loss of fluids and protein, Forgotten Felines executive director Jennifer Kirchner said today. "He's eating and drinking on his own, is alert and is receiving pain medication," she said.

A man in an Apple Valley apartment complex trapped six kittens and an adult cat in three cages last week with the intention of having them spayed and neutered by Forgotten Felines, Kirchner said.

He left the caged cats outside Tuesday night and the two cages that held the kittens were missing the next morning. Only the cage holding the adult cat was still there, Kirchner said.

Residents of the apartment complex saw adolescents standing around a burning cage on Wednesday evening, Kirchner said.

1. People who torture animals need to be taken far more seriously
by law enforcement.

We saved one of my cats from this when she was only 2 weeks old. The feral mom and the entire litter were being hunted, caught, and set on fire. I think only two kittens survived. My Millie Dear is one of them.

3. Millie is a very lucky kitty
I agree with you about taking it more seriously when someone is caught committing such an act against an animal. I am of the belief that torturing animals is only a beginning of the atrocities these types might commit.

8. Well, for one example......
...a certain White House occupying primate used to stick firecrackers up frogs' asses when he was a kid. And I've seen a picture of him holding a dead bald eagle, which he apparently shot.

Look how he turned out :scared:

2. An eye for an eye should apply here
And I'm not kidding.

We rescued a turtle that was being doused with antifreeze by some punks. The poor things eyes were a mess. She's fine now, but if I'd gotten my hands on those punks I don't know what I would have done. :grr:

12. Guess who they say is behind it?
MS-13...that's right, the notorious gang of illegals from Latinland. I guess they just came here to do jobs Americans won't do...like using live cats as Molotov cocktails.

7. In my town we got a reward out for...
whoever clubbed a dog almost to death.

Had fundraisers to cover the vet bills (yes, the vet deeply discounted the bills, but he shouldn't have to shoulder it all himself) but haven't found the culprits yet.

9. We're awaiting the trial of someone here in Tampa
that used a blowtorch on a trapped cat. Stunning new trend we seem to have going here.
