General question about news magazines
What news/ politics magazines do you read and/ or subscribe to?

I'm about to subscribe to a few and wanted to get a general idea as to what is trusted or highly regarded.

I already subscribe to the Economist, simply because the international coverage is excellent. I'm looking more for coverage of domestic issues.

2. Is that offered through a clearing house?
$100.00 for a half year is a bit more than I can afford.

6. The Economist
also a weekly. Published in UK and not easily categorized as liberal or conservative. "The Nation", to me, can be a little breathless in its reporting.

12. Out of the big three, which is the best?
By big three, I mean Time, US News, and Newsweek.

13. I know some well-informed people who swear by Newsweek
But I personally think all of the big three are just print versions of CNN/Headline News.

In other words, no depth whatsoever.

15. All three suck.
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 06:23 AM by Tesha
But if you're looking to rank them from Blatantly and
Unabashedly Right Wing to only a little Right and sort-of
ashamed of it, my ranking would be:

o US News
o Time
o Newsweek

At one point, I was simultaneously subscribed to all
three and that was the order in which I cancelled my
subscriptions.
